The Funhouse Trilogy is an interesting series I came up with about a year ago. I can't really remember how the idea came to me, but all I remember is finding clown music on iTunes by a group called Virgil (The album is titled "Klown" and is the music I listen to while writing this series) which inspired it. This series consists of the following three stories: The Funhouse, The Funhouse 2: The Freekual, and The Funhouse 3: What Clowns Are Made Of.

The Funhouse is the first story in the The Funhouse Trilogy. It introduces the five main characters Kevin Wrights, Alex Freeman, Darell Houston, Reggie Johnson, and Franklin Davis. It also introduces Freeky the Clown, the main antagonist of the Trilogy.
Kevin, Alex, Darell, Reggie, and Franklin are five good friends that are all coming of age. Kevin is struggle with an addiction to cigarettes due to the loss of his mother because of a drug overdose. Alex tried to commit suicide and just got out of a psychiatric ward, Darell just moved into his own apartment a month ago; but is about to get evicted because he quit his stressful job, Reggie's parents have decided to get a divorce after twenty years of marriage, and Franklin's brother and mother were shot and killed by his father. The five try to keep each other up and decide to get together to get their minds off their problems. Then Darell and Reggie get hired and receive three tickets at a new "haunted" carnival that has come to town and the five decide to go check it out. They are not aware of it, but the carnival is watched over by a sadistic clown named Freeky that preys on young men. Once they get inside, the five must find their way out or become Freeky's next victims.

The Funhouse 2: The Freekual is the second story in the The Funhouse Trilogy. It continues where The Funhouse left off and covers the return of Freeky.
After the events of the Funhouse, things seem to be looking up for the five friends. Darell and Reggie (now living together in a new apartment) have both found jobs and Darell is planning on going to college soon. Franklin lives with his uncle and has gotten over his anger towards his father. Kevin has quit smoking and Alex has started a group where he talks to teenagers about not trying to commit suicide. But Darell has been having a recurring nightmare of Freeky returning and seeking revenge on him and his friends. They all think that Darell's nightmare is just a sign that he is still traumatized by the situation. Then a carnival comes to town called "The Freekual" and young men around the ages of 18 and 24 end up missing and turn up murdered the next day. Then when they least expect it, Freeky surfaces and chases them to his new twisted carnival inspired by them and what he wants to do to them. One by one, the friends get captured and tortured by Freeky except Darell, who is rescued by an old carnival worker who knows a lot about Freeky's weaknesses. With the help of the carnival worker, Darell must save his friends and put a stop to Freeky's evil sadistic ways.

The Funhouse 3: What Clowns Are Made Of is the third and final story in the The Funhouse Trilogy. It covers Darell and Alex moving away to go to a college in Hampden Sydney, Virginia and the return of Freeky, but this time his little brother (Killer the Clown) and cousin (Crazy the Clown) are tagging along to create more chaos than ever before.
Darell and Alex leave Los Angeles and go to Hampden–Sydney College in Virginia. The two feel that they will be moving forward in their lives as young men and hope to accomplish a lot during their time in college. Once there, the two meet a freshmen named William "Bill" who is going to be their roommate and is in their first class with them. And the two couldn't have picked a worse time to go to an all men's school, because Freeky is back again, but this time he's got help from his brother Killer and his cousin Crazy. Then a carnival comes to town and Darell freaks out. But when a fraternity find out that he wants to pledge their frat, they tell him if he goes to the carnival that they'll put him, Alex, and Bill in their fraternity. Darell accepts the deal and goes to the carnival with Alex and Bill. Once they leave, the clowns go on a killing spree and cause chaos in Hampden Sydney, Virginia. It's up to Darell, Alex, and Bill to put a stop to the Clowns once and for all.
